One of Lake Garda's gems is the town of Bardolino. Located at the widest point of the lake on the Verona side, it is not just a delightful town, it is also the center of Bardolino wine country. The countryside is pretty with its gentle hills covered in olive groves, grape vines, flowering plants and tall cypress trees.

Bardolino is secluded from the area's industrial zone and traffic, making it a relaxing spot. But the town is also lively, with plenty of cafes, restaurants, shops and discos to keep it fun. The historic center is a beautiful blend of stone streets, pretty buildings and lakefront expanses. A marina brings in colorful boats, and there is golf and tennis available, along the lake's water sports. In the hills are plenty of activities too, such as hiking, horse riding and mountain biking. Visit some wineries to taste the area's unique vintage, Bardolino DOC.

Bardolino is located just 25 kilometers from Verona and is near Mantova, Vicenza and Padova, and Venice is just 130 kilometers away. The large amusement parks of Gardaland and Movieland are close by.
