Casa Mia gives you the opportunity to join food and wine specialists in their own kitchens for cooking class. Others offer neighborhood tours where they'll personally point out the vendors and restaurants, introduce you to market stalls, and help you have a more in depth experience. Sommeliers are also on their line-up to explain grape varietals, vintages, techniques and wine culture in general. There are food and wine pairing lessons in an informal setting, and home-cooking demonstrations with a family meal. This is a great way to "go local" and learn about Italian cuisine, wine, and culture with a resident's first-hand knowledge and connections.
