Overlooking the Church of Santa Felicita - which houses many works of the master Pontormo including the “Deposition” - since 1872, the Restaurant Celestino boasts a long tradition in the history of Tuscan cuisine. It was born as rustic tavern, but it’s been recently turned into an elegant and unpretentious restaurant.
Celestino’s located in one of the most beautiful sights of Florence, Piazza di Santa Felicita, within the Torre degli Ubriachi and about 30 meters from the Ponte Vecchio in direction of Palazzo Pitti.
Ideal for enjoying a good ribollita or a succulent Chianina beef steak accompanied by a choice from the excellent Chianti Classico wine. Pleasant and relaxing candlelight environment, in summer it offers a lovely small garden in the historic square.
