See Mt Etna and its towns in a different way-by climbing aboard and riding the rails of a narrow gauge train and exploring the area that encircles Europe's largest volcano. The train runs a circuit that departs from Riposto and ends at Catania (and vice versa), and you can book your tickets for any part of the loop -or opt to get on and off at certain points of interest.

The train stops at interesting towns, like Randazzo, the "black city" built of lava rock, and Bronte, famous for its pistachios, among others. It's a nice way to get around and see the landscapes. You'll find convenient stations of departure that include Giarre, Piedimonte Etneo and Linguaglossa.
