Spiaggia di Marina di San Gregorio

The curve of beach is made up of a small section of sand and pebbles mixed, and low reefs, like much Puglia's coast. The site of an ancient Messapic port (now buried under the sea and its bottom) there are "sand bars" that rise up to make the areas shallow. From the terrace piazza above the sea, you can descend to one side where the boat slip and beach is, or down the walkway ramp to the other side and the stone beach surrounded by macchia brush and some low reefs. The water is clear and pure here. Water shoes are highly recommended because of the rocks and reefs, to protect your feet.
