Extending between Fano and Senigallia, the Marotta beach offers miles of sand and easy access. It can be reached in minutes from the A-14 autostrada, and there is a train station right near the beach. Wide expanses of sandy beach are great for families, and there are plenty of free tracts sprinkled between the concessions that rent umbrellas and chairs. The town of Marotta offers services, shops, gelaterias, and restaurants. Stroll to Piazza Kennedy to enjoy some atmosphere if you tire of the surf. Marotta is part of the comune of Mondolfo, up in the hills above, a pleasant old village tucked into its medieval walls with a castle and churches, worth a visit, as well.
