One of the Sorrento peninsula's best beaches, Marina del Cantone sits where the Bay of Nerano meets the marine protected area of Punta Campanella. It is easily accessible by car, descending from Nerano. In summer, there is also a shuttle from the large parking lot in Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi, and SITA bus lines that arrive there. In other words, no long and tortuous hikes down the cliff face to get there!

The spacious beach is composed of pebbles, ensuring clean water not clouded by sand. There are concessions that rent umbrellas and sun beds, as well as tracts of free beach. It faces south and has good sun exposure, while the mountain looming behind protects it from the winds. You can easily bathe here through October.

There are restaurants on the beach and in the hamlet along with a handful of shops to get picnic foods, beach toys and suncream. Try the local dish, Spaghetti alla Nerano, a generations-old recipe using summer's bountiful zucchine.
