Rainbow MagicLand is Rome's answer to Disneyland. A big theme park in the Castelli Romani area south of the capital city, MagicLand offers family fun in easy reach for a day trip from Rome. There are themed areas, games, rides, roller coasters, water rides, live shows and even a planetarium. Sprinkled in are food stalls and a sit-down restaurant, too.

Open from May through October, it's a good spot to take the kids for a day of laughs and thrill rides.

MagicLand can be reached by train from Rome's Termini going to Valmontone and then taking the free shuttle bus to the park. They give you a €6 discount on the admission price if you show your train ticket at the park entrance. MagicLand is next to the Valmontone Outlet Mall.
