The long strands of sandy beaches are hard to miss - Roseto degli Abruzzi is a beach town!. You'll find many lidos along the shore, the concessions that rent beach umbrellas and sun beds. They also offer snack bars, restaurants, showers and changing cabins for easy user-friendly days at the beach. On the south side, Lido La Tartaruga is the easiest to access. Going north towards town, they become more frequent, and you can just choose a lido based on the look and feel of the place; see how it appeals to you and how much space they give you between umbrellas! You'll have plenty of choice.

Tucked in between the lidos are occasional free access beach areas, where you can pitch your own umbrella or lay out your blanket on the sand.

If you want more space away from the development areas of town, go north to the Borsacchio nature reserve or to the south of Roseto near where the Lungomare Trieste ends, or just south into Scerne (a hamlet that is part of Pineto) where the beach front is mostly undeveloped.
