Agnone will capture your heart.  It is a small, charming seaside resort, located on the Tyrrhenian coast nearby the mouth of Rio Lapis, at 5 km from Acciaroli and 13 km from Santa Maria di Castellabate, not far from the splendid hamlets of Perdifumo, Serramezzana and San Mauro del Cilento.

The first news about Agnone dated back to 1187, when the village homed the ancient church of St Maria de Hercula. The resort itself started growing at the end of the XVII century, along with the growth of St Nicola a Mare, originally a fishermen hamlet rising under the tower of St Nicola.

The crystalline pure waters along with the wonderful position (as part of the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park) have made Agnone a popular seaside resort. Every year this pretty place receives rave reviews, as well as the "Blue Flag" as formal recognition of the pureness of its environment.

Agnone is an ideal place to spend relaxing holidays for both families and youth who love enjoying clubs and night life.
