July 2023 - This is a family owned property and they really go out of their way to ensure you have a great vacation! They are so nice and responded immediately to our needs and questions.

The location is amazing! Fantastic views and easy walk to town. Our favorite feature was the private beach. We spent a day snorkeling ,kayaking and relaxing on the beach! Would definitely return here!

June 2023 - I wish I were back! Wow! Loved everything about it! The house has 3 bedrooms, all with AC and full bathrooms. Plenty of sitting space and the three terraces provide incredible views. Beach and pool are wonderful and of course, very close to all the shops. We will be back!!!

Hosts are fantastic and take care of you and your luggage (yes they winch it up so you don’t have to)! They also offer a Lemon Experience as they own the beautiful lemon trees you pass walking to the villa.

Summer In Italy has been terrific! My stay at Villa Ermelinda has been 6 years in the making. I bought the cancellation insurance in 2017 and needed to use it when a family member passed away; then in 2020, they graciously extended the policy another 3 years due to pandemic - 2023 was our year!!! Very professional and Luca is a pleasure to work with on booking, questions, etc. Would use them again!

The whole family loved it

May 2023 - Villa Ermelinda was fantastic!!! Our extended family stayed for 8 days and absolutely enjoyed our time at the villa and in beautiful Positano and with our trips along the coast.

The pictures of the villa on the website are very accurate - it's beautiful. We enjoyed our morning cappuccino on the terrace roof top (which by the way has a fun outdoor shower if you want to cool off) and also enjoyed breakfast, dinner or wine the second story terrace with a outdoor dinning table - also a fantastic view of the water and coast.

Our host Giulio and his family were incredible and had a lovely snack and beverages waiting for us on our arrival and were always so amazing at answering our texts with helpful information.

Would highly recommend this Villa. Everything is a short 5-15 min (beautiful) walk away (with quite a bit of steps... but that is everywhere on the Amalfi Coast... so bring your comfortable walking shoes.)

Perfect location, spacious house and beautiful views

June 2022 - We stayed at Villa Ermelinda in June 22. We chose this villa because of the size and location. The villa was able to accommodate all 7 ladies. Another big plus was that each person could have their own bed. The views were beautiful and the house was spacious. Each room has its own on suite. We spent most of our time outside on the terrace enjoying the phenomenal views of Positano. This home also shares a pool and a beach. The property is a short walk to the crowded main beach and shops. This house is good for those who are able bodied. There are lots of steps to get to the house then down to the pool then the beach.

Giulio [the owner] along with his brother were very accommodating. They were able to recommend either places to visit or places to dine at. They were very responsive every time we had an inquiry.

October 2019 - We had a fabulous stay at Villa Ermelinda! The villa is very spacious and was very comfortable for our family of 5. The outdoor terraces have absolutely breathtaking views. We also took advantage of the private beach which was beautiful.

The villa is set amidst lemon and olive trees and is very quiet and peaceful. The villa is on the top of a hill so there are quite a few steps (approximately 130 steps) but we didn't mind as everywhere in Positano is on a hillside. It was only about a 10 minute walk down the hill to the center of town where there are many fabulous restaurants.

We enjoyed staying in Positano very much and feel that it was more charming and centrally located than Sorrento.

Costantino and Giulio were wonderful hosts and could not have been more hospitable. They helped us throughout the week with restaurant recommendations, reservations and taxis. Upon our arrival they graciously provided us with hand-picked grapes from their vineyard, delicious fresh-baked rolls and a few essentials in the refrigerator. We had a great stay and made many fond memories there!

My experience with Summer In Italy was very positive. The person I chatted with on-line with was very helpful and pleasant. The pictures of the villa on your web site were very accurate as was the description of the villa.

August 2019 - We loved Villa Ermelinda. The management is very helpful and kind; the villa was very clean. The location is perfect. It is walking distance to the village (like 5-10 min) and it is located on the quiet side of Positano.

Absolutely divine!

May 2019 - Villa Ermelinda was absolutely DIVINE. The villa is extremely spacious, and you cannot beat the views.

We so enjoyed sitting outside with a cheese and meat board, drinking wine and taking in the beautiful weather and views. We had 5 girls and found it to be the perfect place.

Giulio [the owner] was absolutely incredible. He met us at the bottom of the stairs and assisted with our luggage (not sure how we could have made it otherwise)! He greeted us with kindness and a bottle of prosecco! He was available for any questions/concerns. He made our first stop in Italy heartfelt and comfortable. Could not have been any better.

Amazing views

June 2018 - We loved our stay at Villa Ermelinda.

Giulio was extremely gracious host and gave us detailed view on how to best explore Amalfi coast.

Views from this Villa are amazing. Its very rustic, Italian in look and feel which we enjoyed. It was little higher up with lots of stairs but we managed through it. Giulio and team helped with luggage up and down so we didn't have to worry about it.

It is only a 15 minute walk into town and close to Arienzo Beach as well as their private beach.

May 2018 - Our family enjoyed an incredible vacation at the beautiful Villa Ermelinda in early May. Working with Summer In Italy was a very professional experience. They described the Villa accurately, and answered any questions promptly.

Villa Ermelinda is very well maintained by a local family. The spacious layout offered plenty of privacy for all. It was just a short walk from the busy Positano main streets, really the perfect location and most charming of settings!

Our hosts Giulio and his family were wonderfully accommodating. Giulio was extremely helpful with many little details, including advising and assisting us on activities and restaurant choices, and arranging a private boat tour to Capri (highly recommend).

We absolutely would recommend the lovely Villa Ermelinda!!

July 2017 - We loved Villa Ermelinda, the view is amazing. Best part of Villa Ermelinda was having access to pool and beach of nearby hotel. We enjoyed kayaking and just hanging out at the private beach.

The family, father and son, were very friendly and always available if we needed anything.

Perfect for our two families

July 2017 - Villa Ermelinda was perfect for our two families to stay in. The pool and the direct access to the beach set this villa above all others in terms of access to water as well as having a wonderful view.

Costantino and his sons were fantastic hosts. Their customer service was the best we have ever had in a villa/house rental.

I would say that Summer In Italy has an excellent customer service. When I had questions, you were quick to respond and I liked that you have someone in the office to call with any questions we had.

June 2017 - We had an amazing time at Villa Ermelinda and its beautiful, peaceful surroundings. The villa was bright and fresh and clean. We enjoyed many family dinners on the terrace. The location of the villa was terrific, close to everything without being in the busy center. The pool and direct access to the beach were a plus though quite a walk.

It was the host family that truly made our stay amazing. They went above and beyond in generosity and hospitality. They personally were a highlight!

June 2016 - My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our week in Positano at Villa Ermelinda. The property was beautiful and comfortable, the view was spectacular!!! Each bedroom had its own air conditioner which was a definite plus with five women staying there.

The owners were responsive to every request. We loved the olive oil and fresh basil that you graciously dropped off at the villa. Thank you for making our stay so amazing!!!!

It was a week that will always be an incredible life-time memory for us!

July 2015 - Our family just returned from Positano and our stay at Villa Ermelinda was a dream come true! The villa was perfect for our family and the views were spectacular.

June 2015 - We rented Villa Ermelinda with our 4 children, ages 18 to 11. It was amazing!! Way better than the pictures show it to be.

My kids and I all loved it and would stay there over and over again if we could.

The owner's family was there to help us with our luggage and anything we needed. We felt like part of the family. Don't change a thing, you were amazing and made our trip so special. Thank you!!

This was our second trip and it was as wonderful as we remembered!

The owner was just a phone call away, and did everything from handling our luggage to getting us reservations in the best restaurants. Need a car? No problem! Maid service? Absolutely!

September 2012 - We had a very enjoyable holiday at Villa Ermelinda. The views were wonderful and the privacy was what we wanted.

We found the steps quite tiring in the heat but then one would not have had the views if one didn't climb!

The water pressure was rather low and we couldn't use the bath in one of the bathrooms. We do realize that this is a problem in some areas and there are water shortages as well.

We must say that the service and attention given to us by the family was excellent, and that made all the difference!

We wanted a holiday in the sun with access to a beach, shopping, good food and we got all that and more!

June 2012 - We have fallen in love with Positano! The Villa Ermelinda is perfectly situated just outside of the town proper, well within walking distance of the shops and restaurants, but quiet and private as well.

Having access to the pool and beach made all the difference, and the owners couldn't have been more accommodating. They made us feel like part of the family - can't ask for more than that! I celebrated my birthday during the visit and they brought a bottle of Prosecco for us to enjoy by the pool.

Summer in Italy is fabulous. We were referred by friends last year. No question was too silly, always a quick response. Highly recommend!

The steps were difficult to climb up and down every time you wanted to go some place, but we knew this before going.

The owners were very accommodating and pleasant.

The pool was very nice and we could purchase a sandwich there so we did not have to leave to go into town to get food.

October 2010 - We had an amazing time at Villa Ermelinda. The owner was lovely, the attention to detail really good, weather to die for. Lovely to come back to the villa after having visited the private beach and find beach towels had been left for our use - really nice touch!

The villa was clean and comfortable and we wanted for nothing, the bowl of fresh home grown figs awaiting us on our arrival were beautiful.

The location was dreamy, the views heavenly and the tranquility of the surrounds sublime.

The locals were extremely friendly and helpful and I don't think I could think of a single negative comment to make about our entire stay!
