Winery Il Pupillo

Located between Scarlino and Puntone, this family-run winery offers authentic Tuscan vintages and olive oil in the Maremma. Stretching across the landscape near the sea, the owners are the third generation on this estate. They use regional heritage varietals Caiolo, Ciliegiolo, Aleatico Nero and Sangiovese, in both single varietal wines (mono-vitigno) and blends. The whites are Vermentino and Trebbiano.

You can stop by to sample and buy bottles; take a tour; or you can schedule a proper degustazione that gives you three plates with three wines for €20, and includes a tour of the winery facilities. It is easily reached from both Scarlino and Puntone.
