Taverna del Capitano

On the piazza in one of Vernazza's characteristic pastel "tower houses" is the down-home restaurant, Taverna del Capitano. Colorful umbrellas are crowded together to shade the outdoor tables, which are right down by the waterfront. Being a fishing village, the specialty of the house is naturally seafood - you can have your fish in a variety of ways: marinated, baked, grilled, stuffed, stewed or fried. Emphasis is on regional recipes, with the freshest ingredients.

Closed Tuesdays. Closed for seasonal break from mid-November through December.
