Spiaggia dello Scario Beach

A beautiful cove set amidst brush and broom-speckled rocks with a fan-shaped beach that opens to cobalt water - in other words, paradise. On the island of Salina just a few minutes from Malfa, the beach of Scario (at Punta Scario) is truly gorgeous. It is a small stone and pebble beach without services, so bring your own umbrella and gear. It is reached by a path from above, not especially difficult, though the return is uphill, of course. The clean, azure water is perfect for swimmers and snorkelers, but deepens quickly so not especially suited for little children.

The cove is reached by leaving the car near Hotel Punta Scario and walking down the marked path, or by renting a boat at the Porto di Malfa and anchoring off the shore.
