Scialara Beach

The beach right in town at Vieste, Scialara is also called "Pizzomunno". Easily accessed from Lungomare Mattei, the beach offers soft sand and clear green-toned water because it is shallow. The water remains shallow for a good length so is good for kids and those who don't swim. There are lidos offering services (umbrellas, chairs and sunbeds, showers, bars and restaurants) and parts that are free public access where you can bring your own umbrella and your towels on the sand. The beach is picturesque with its monolithic tall obelisk-like white pillar rock and white cliff.
