Gaeta's longest beach is Sant'Agostino, just outside town, that believe it or not, just 60 years ago wasn't a destination beach but was cultivated with melons, plums and vineyards. It sprawls out along the Bay of Sant'Agostino for two unbroken kilometers of find golden sand. You will find plenty of space where you were can throw down a towel, or vendors that rent umbrellas and chairs. The only month it gets quite crowded is August. The beach is below the cliff promontory of Monte Moneta, which is popular with climbers. There are restaurants, snack bars, and summer vendors selling beach gear.

The beach of Sant'Agostino is accessed from SR213 (also called Via Flacca). There are parking areas and entrance gates for private beach establishments along the road.
