One of four nature reserves in Le Marche, the park of San Bartolo is a unique seaside promontory to enjoy near Pesaro. Steep cliffs plunge to the sea, while panoramic roads wend along the ridge, offering beautiful flora and breathtaking views. The park of San Bartolo starts at Pesaro and extends for 10 kilometers of coast to Gabbice Mare on the north end.

Here you'll find plenty of hiking and mountain biking trails, where you can enjoy the flowers and plants, the birds and wildlife, and the peaceful ambiance of an undeveloped park. There are a few villages tucked in where you can sample good food, and trails that lead to secluded coves and little strips of beach. It is part of the Appenino Trail that traverses Emilia Romagna, Le Marche and Tuscany.

The brick-built hamlets of Fiorenzuola di Focara and Castedimezzo are worth a visit, both situated above the sea with nice views, lovely atmosphere and some fine restaurants. Don't miss the Villa Imperiale, an impressive Renaissance beauty, and Villa Caprile, a refined mansion also dating to the Renaissance period, which hosts concerts and theater in the summer. There is even a golf club in the park!

The park of San Bartolo offers a scenic drive, nice trails, uncrowded swimming spots, and a quiet place to enjoy nature.
