Osteria Cinque di Vino is in the village of San Casciano in Val di Pesa, in the beautiful Chianti hills. The tiny eatery tucked away in a corner of the piazza with tables crammed into the rustic, charming space. The owners serve hone home cooking made with quality ingredients, with lots of attention and care going into the preparation and service. Try the traditional Pappa Maritata, a Tuscan peasant specialty that utilizes bread and fresh tomatoes to create a surprisingly delicious dish from humble ingredients; or the mezzelune with truffles. They're also noted for the onion soup and the ribollita, a hearty Tuscan soup. They make a perfect Fiorentina steak, and serve up the local lamb three ways - oven roasted, grilled, or fried.

Reservations highly recommended if you want to find a table in this small, popular place.
