In a natural area of low reefs and rocky shoreline, there are pockets of sandy beaches tucked in like little coves. Part of the Regional Park of Isola Sant'Andrea, this area of coastline south of Gallipoli offers some beautiful seascapes and interesting landscapes.

At Punta Pizzo - you'll find the Torre Pizzo, one of the many medieval watch towers that guarded the coast, along with a rocky point, and lots of wild shoreline marked by the Mediterranean "macchia" plants and pines. The Punta Pizzo is a "point" that forms the southern curve of a small bay south of Gallipoli, not really high enough to be a promontory but a rocky point that juts out. There are lots of free and open areas, along with a beach concession called Punta Pizzo Lido that offers umbrellas and sun beds for the day, a restaurant and bar.

Punta della Suina - called "swine point" it is more beautiful than it sounds! With a pretty beach interspersed with low reefs and rocks, there is also a little island that is staked out with umbrellas and sun beds, but with open space, as well. It's really one of the most beautiful spots in the Salento! The Lido is called Punta della Suina, too, and you can snag an umbrella and chair, or even a prive', like a private cabana, for the day.
