Prosciutto di Parma Museum

Located in a former livestock market, the Museum of Prosciutto is a destination for anyone who loves pork. The museum lays out displays on the breeds of pigs, the production, techniques, salt and curing, as well as the protective consortium to maintain the Parma brand and quality. There are displays for other regional cured pork products, as well. Of course, the museum culminates at the tasting room where you get to sample the goods.
It is located about a half-hour south of Parma in Langhirano.
