One of the most famous beaches in the Ragusa-Scicli area is the "spiaggia di Montalbano". The beach below the house of fictitious Commissario Montalbano in the TV mysteries has been highlighted often, a real place in a fictional series. Many people come to Punta Secca because of the TV show, and swim here, as the inspector does, in the cooling and cool blue water.

The beach arches around the curve of the bay, with fine golden sand and while it's not wide it does have enough space to lay out your towels and plant your umbrella. There are no concessions renting umbrellas here, so it is a free and unencumbered beach. Services are close at hand, as the beach is right in town.
