Il Castello di Bacco

This refined restaurant is in the heart of Zafferana Etnea. It is housed in an 1800s palazzo on the piazza that is known as the "belvedere dell'Etna" - the beautiful overlook of Etna. The wine bar and restaurant serve Sicilian specialties using local ingredients and recipes. Their specialties include carpaccio of porcini mushrooms, farfalle pasta with a sauce made from Sicily's pistachios, and mushroom-stuffed pork loin. Local wines are featured, made on the slopes of Mt. Etna.
