Just outside of Govone, the wine-striped hills produce excellent wines, and Ceste is a good one to visit and sample. With the classic vintages of the area, you'll find Barbera d'Alba, Nebbiolo, Barbaresco and Barolo - the heavy hitters, as they say. They also produce Bonarda and Grignolino, along with "vini d'autore" - special winemaker's blends. Plus, sparkling and dessert wines.
