Called the Bonsai Museum of Serenity, it is part botanical garden and part open-air exhibition and education like a museum. The labor of love of Armando dal Col has created a quiet, contemplative Japanese space in the heart of the old town of Tarzo, in Veneto. Mr. Dal Col became fascinated with the art of bonsai in Japan, and took up the practice himself. The fruit of his many years at it are highlighted in this special and unique garden. It is a place of harmony, and one that also is enhanced by the enchanting valleys, hills and lakes of this area. It is near the Laghi di Revine lakes, about 14 kilometers from Miane.

What is Bonsai? Bonsai is the art of growing certain trees and shrubs, of many varieties, in small, shallow containers. It is through careful and precise training and pruning, that the plant is slowly shaped and manipulated to give the appearance of an older, mature tree. Bonsai does not require genetically dwarfed trees, but rather depends on growing small trees from regular stock and seeds. Bonsai uses cultivation techniques to produce small trees that mimic the shape and style of mature, full-size trees.

You'll be amazed by the miniature splendor and beauty of this place, and yes, it's serenity.
