March 2012 - It was such a lovely peaceful villa with a most exceptional view!
Bruno [the owner] took very good care of us and made sure everything worked well. The hot tub was amazing.
We loved being able to walk to the village for groceries and everyone was really friendly to us considering we didn't speak any Italian. We would love to go back one day.
Travel tips
- Bring your own DVDs to watch as the English cable channels are very limited.
- You must rent a car to drive around as the house is quite far from Sorrento and other charming villages along the coast such as Ravello and Positano.

October 2007 - DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE PICTURES!!!
This place is so much more than you can see or imagine! Anyone wanting to experience the Amalfi coast like the locals do it, should come and stay here.
The villa was very clean and much more spacious than we had anticipated. I am a tough critic who usually stays at the Westin when traveling with family in the U.S., and enjoyed this villa to the fullest.
Evening dinners on the grand terrace, candlelight, wine, cheese from the local merchants, grilled beef on the charcoal...
The views from the villa cannot be described, as the rest of the Coast.
The beds were very comfortable, and the availability of a washing machine and dishwasher on the premises were very much appreciated.
The owner, Bruno, could not been more accommodating. He is an excellent resource and a great gentleman.
For good wines, go into Sorrento, as several shops have an excellent selection of Brunellos, Super Tuscans, and other regional favorites. The mozzarella is the best in the world: don't miss it.
And please, don't make the same mistake as I did: driving into Naples! For a day trip, take the boat directly from Sorrento, and add 5 years to your life.

September 2007 - The villa is an excellent deal for the value, the look over the ocean and the area.
It is a safe place with the camera and security system in place.
The owner is doing a very good job in the quality of the house and the landscaping.
Your service and credibility was greatly appreciated; to decide to rent through the Internet is a guess; to get the service and the security of the deal was fulfilled; thanks for the professionalism.
Travel tips
- The owner can speak in English, French, Spanish and Italian which make this villa an International and very attractive option to live the Italian style.
- The view is gorgeous.
- the villa very clean, pretty and secure with all the main advantages like air conditioning.

Travel tips
- A car is definitely needed for easy transportation.
- Driving on the very narrow and winding roads requires a great deal of skill and patience. The too many scooters and motorcycles makes driving not so pleasant. Finding a parking space is very difficult and sometimes next to impossible!
- There are lots of great restaurants in Sorrento, Praiano and Sant'Agata. Italian cuisine is just wonderful. Prices are also reasonable.
- Dont miss watching the sunset in Sorrento at the small marina area. It is very beautiful
- The best beach is in Positano. Another beach we loved is One Fire Beach in Praiano. To get to the One Fire Beach, you will need to take a boat ride from La Praia Beach. It is worth it.

July 2007 - We all had a fabulous time at Villa Magnolia.
Views are truly amazing, very peaceful, relaxing holiday.
Great position to explore Sorrento peninsula, fabulous local restaurant within walking distance of villa. You won't be disappointed, photos don't do it justice.
Thanks to you! Very good and easy to deal with, wouldn't hesitate to book with yourselves in the future.

July 2007 - Villa Magnolia exceeded all our expectations! The view is absolutely breathtaking, we couldn't get enough of it. It can be enjoyed equally from the from the bedroom and the living room.
The owner, Bruno, was extremely generous with his time, advice and tips on where to eat and what to visit. He was a very gracious host.
The villa is furnished with a lot of taste and we found everything we needed.
Our family of 6 spent two memorable weeks in the villa and enjoyed every minute of it. We will definitely go back to villa magnolia.
Travel tips
- The owner, Bruno, is the best source of information on the area.

June 2007 - Villa Magnolia was incredible. The view and the gardens were better than we expected. The property manager was very helpful and available. He also gave us tips on restaurants and things to do.
The villa is in a wonderful location. It is only 7 km from Sorrento, but overlooks the Amalfi coast side - very close to Positano. We had no problems getting around.
We would definitely consider renting this villa again on a future trip to Italy.
You were wonderful to deal with. Thank you.
Travel tips
- There is a wonderful restaurant in Colli di Fontanelle, where the villa is located, called Stellucia. The food is good and the prices great.
- There is also a good restaurant near the train station in Sorrento, Il Leone Rosso (The Red Lion).
- Shopping in Sorrento seems the least expensive.
- We loved the town of Amalfi (you can park right down in town near the circle).
- Go to Mt Vesuvio - walk the crater rim.
- Parking - the blue P signs... make sure you get a ticket from the machines located nearby or down the street.

July 2006 - I must thank very much owner of Villa Magnolia and Summer in Italy for really wonderful time we spent in Villa Magnolia and Amalfi Coast.
That was a very beautiful, peaceful and healthy vacation for me, my pregnant friend and our 4 year old children.
Everything was just excellent every day and every moment. The only one moment is that we must have car their otherwise you are lost.
Whatever the target is you can get it in Villa Magnolia either lively time with friends or peaceful time with children and family.
Jolly night parties or beautiful sporty mornings (as i did).
Thank you very much my Italian friends.

May 2006 - We enjoyed our stay at Villa Magnolia.
The villa is a definitely 5 star rating, the one thing that would bring this immaculate beautiful villa up to a five star plus rating would be the addition of another shower.
Other than that we couldn't have asked for a better location from which to visit all the sites in and around Sorrento.
Summer in Italy has one of the best websites for booking and for viewing accommodations. Responses were quick and clear. Our experience with your agency has been nothing but positive, and we would not hesitate to recommend you to friends and family.

April 2006 - Villa Magnolia is in a wonderful location. Waking up to the spectacular views from the bedroom was so special. The gardens are first class, and you will never tire of the magical vista, which changes with the light as the day progresses.
A wonderful choice for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. Bruno [the owner] is extremely helpful and attentive to all your needs, making his guests extremely welcome.

October 2005 - A wonderful, peaceful spot to relax. A perfect view and wonderful people in the market and restaurants in Colli di Fontanelle. It was beyond our expectations.
The owner, Bruno, was very attentive and helpful. The house was bigger than expected and the garden and patio were spectacular.
If someone is looking to relax and get away from it all, this is the place. The only noise we heard was the wind blowing gently and a few birds chirping. Heaven couldn't be better than this!
I liked the look of your website and the easy way to find locations of villas, houses and apartments. Your communication was very fast and accurate.
Thank you again, I cannot wait to go back to Villa Magnolia.

September 2005 - We loved the location and the view, a combination of solitude and majestic coastal scenery.
The neighborhood is rural, wonderfully uninfected with tourists.
Great hiking trails begin near the villa. The little village nearby is delightful and can provide anything from a pizza delivery to a reasonable range of groceries.
We will return with our family when we can.
The garden and patio areas make this a mythical retreat, among the best we have experienced!
We appreciated the professional and competent processing of our reservation, and the appropriate preliminary information we received. We had no unsettling suprises, and will be using your website and services again. Thank you!

August 2005 - We loved the villa and the location - off street parking was a major bonus.
The garden and patio were much better than anticipated.
The location was perfect for us, so close to the village and its amenities and yet very secluded from the tourists teeming in Sorrento.
Bruno [the owner] was a star looking after our needs and nothing was too much trouble, together with perfect English.
I have never had such a trouble free booking process and the online availability calendars for your properties are great.

June 2005 - Villa Magnolia was exactly what we were looking for in a vacation rental.
I immediately felt "at home" and welcome there. We got a true taste of Italian life by eating, shopping, and interacting with the people in Colli di Fontenelle.
The hiking in the area was picturesque and energizing.
It was wonderful!
You were great. The descriptions, directions, etc. were perfect. Thank you for helping us have a fabulous time!

May 2005 - From the moment we walked down the steps under the vine covered arbor and saw the Mediterranean Sea as our "front yard", we knew this would be a vacation that we would never forget.
During the days my family and I would hike the beautiful trails nearby and visit the towns along the Amalfi Coast, but we couldn't wait to return to our villa each day for wine and cheese in the garden watching the moon rise over the sea.
Many afternoons were spent reading and napping in the hammock under the olive trees.
Yes, we enjoyed every minute of our stay at Villa Magnolia and would return each May if someone would only give us the plane tickets!!

May 2005 - Our stay at the Villa Magnolia was by far the best thing we have done on our visits to Italy.
I know that people reading this will question this statement as I did the previous reviewers. But... it is absolutely what you see in the pictures!!
Our time there was heavenly and if we could have stayed for another week we most definitely would have. Bruno [the owner] is wonderful!! Our first night he settled us in and then ordered carry-out for us from Stellaluca's. Chicken, pasta, caprese salad, tiramisu and a bottle of wine.
The doors were open to the ocean, a cool breeze was blowing, the twinkleing lights from Praiano and Positano... we really were in heaven. The next morning brought a view that was unbelievable. I have never seen the colors so vibrant. Everyday was perfect, every night magical.
What will we do without those candlelight dinners? Thank you for all of this. We are planning our next visit. We can't wait.

June 2004 - We hit the jackpot with this place! It is a piece of paradise in the hill just above Sorrento.
The garden was a perfect place for sunning and reading with the most absolutely fantastic view of the Li Galli Islands, boats passing by and fabulous sunsets. The outdoor shower was perfect too! I'm almost hesitant to recommend it because it wont be our little secret anymore. It's an easy 10 minute drive to Sorrento and 20 to Positano, Amalfi, etc. Perfect location for a quiet hideaway but easy access to town.
I'd go back 100 times over if I could. The owners, Rosa and Bruno were lovely, warm people who I hope to keep in touch with.
Summer In Italy was a joy to work with. Easy to contact and very responsive. Thank God Elena the owner met the owner of Summer in Italy in the beach at Positano!
“Ah ah... funny how things happen... Gioconda discovered Villa Magnolia by pure chance, just chatting with a friend while enjoying the beach of Positano. She found a real gem that day!!„

May 2004 - Once our party understood that Villa Magnolia is not in Sorrento proper, we sat back and enjoyed the beautiful view, the lovely warmth of the home and the local shops, restaurants and people. This experience is truly a taste of Italy.
I am of Italian heritage and relished the benefit of a small village with accesibility to the more "touristy" attractions.
The owners of the villa were more than accommodating and made us feel that we could contact them for any reason.
I have traveled extensively and much prefer the life in a home to that of a hotel. This was truly a charming experience.
Unfortunately, Villa Magnolia can not be booked at this time.
We would love to help you find a suitable alternative. Please be in touch for personal advice from our staff!
