As beautiful as the pictures are

October 2021 - As beautiful as the pictures are, there is no way to really describe the actual beauty, until you are actually there and looking off one of the many balconies... The house is clean, spacious and well appointed. The pictures of the inside of the villa are accurate..

Miriam, who is their point person, greeted us, walked us through the villa, showing us how to work everything. Miriam was of course very gracious, and friendly (she also spoke great English for us American travelers).

As with anywhere in the Amalfi, and as expected, you will get your workout with stairs anywhere you go... And that includes Villa Bice. The pool and deck areas were stunning, hanging over the blue sea. There is even a kitchenette and bathroom down at that level. Very important since the walk up to the house is a hundred+ steps back up... ;-)

We were a group of three couples and could not imagine a better fit with the large kitchen, spacious living rooms and bed rooms, and the several decks for the entire group, or areas with some more privacy when needed. We were there for 9 days.

As a bonus, ask Miriam about her husband Antonio's Restaurant, "Le Bontà Del Capo" in Conca Dei Marini... It was the best two meals we had on the Amalfi... (really, and we ate very well all week!!).

The "Summer In Italy" group who manages the property are true professionals, really on the ball, informative, fun to communicate with, and made the trip there very easy... (Many Thanks!!!)

I would maybe want to rent a car or scooters to get around if a smaller crowd, although, we usually hired a driver with a van for our many excursions because we were 6 persons and of course wouldn't fit in many vehicles. We actually usually hired Claudio most of the time who has the coffee shop/restaurant a hundred yards across and down the street... We will be back, and we will be sending all of our friends heading to the Amalfi to Villa Bice as well. We all miss it already...

Host made it very easy for check-in and check-out. The host also went above and beyond setting up excursions, dinner reservations, coordinating drivers etc.

We loved working with Miriam and Francesca [the caretakers], they were both incredibly helpful. The gardener and housekeeper were both nice as well.

Beautiful house with a 1970's - 1980's vibe

June 2019 - Beautiful house with a 1970's - 1980's vibe. No modern developers would build a house like this now with just 3 bedrooms set in a space that could take twice that.

Fantastic outdoor space all beautifully planted. Access to the sea is wonderful with the pool a great benefit as it is warmer and a good refuge when the sea is too rough or jellyfish appear.

Summer In Italy were excellent from start to finish and really added value to our holiday.

Marvelous location on the cliff above the Mediterranean

September 2018 - Marvelous location on the cliff above the Mediterranean. 2 en-suite bedrooms in the house and a fabulous large "grotto-like" annex a flight down towards the pool and sea. Perfect for 6 adults.

The terraces facing South with sea views are wonderful for breakfast, lunch and dinner hang-out". The pool was a perfect complement to the sea swims. Great!

Miriam [the caretaker] was very invaluable and gave very good advise and could not have been more helpful.

August 2018 - We loved it! A perfect Amalfi house in our view. We loved the gardens, the view, the access into the sea and the fact we had so many terraces to spend time on. We would go back.

Very nice villa in a fabulous location

July 2018 - We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Bice, it is a very nice villa in a fabulous location. The house is adequately equipped with all you might need for your stay.

There is one double and one twin bedroom in the main house, the 3rd bedroom is accessed by steps from the main door or the terrace. It is referred to as “the grotto” as it is quite cave like with one big window overlooking the sea. If you enjoy waking up to the sound of the sea (and speed boats) then this is the room for you.

There are a lot of steps to contend with both down to the villa, and from the villa to the pool, however there is the bonus of a small kitchen and bathroom near the pool which means you can stock up and avoid unnecessary climbs back to the villa. Direct access to the sea is a joy.

The property managers Miriam and Antonio were incredibly helpful and friendly, from delivering groceries and pizza to recommending local attractions and tips on the area, organising trips etc. Nothing was too much trouble. They own a lovely restaurant which is well worth a visit especially on ‘music’ night.

Everything was efficiently organized and the local representatives were excellent.

May 2017 - This is a once in a lifetime place to stay: stunning views, multiple decks/patios, gorgeous gardens, comfortable space. If you stay here with a crowd, you can always find your own space to chill.

July 2015 - Villa Bice was one of the highlights of our trip! We loved everything about it!

It is such a relaxing setting. We enjoyed sitting/eating on the terrace, swimming in both the pool and the sea, jumping from the cliffs (the teenagers especially liked this!). Every room in the villa was perfect - the living room was a frequent gathering place.

Villa Bice is perfect! A wonderful and relaxing place!

We were extremely impressed with Summer In Italy, excellent customer service and very easy to deal with! We will recommend the company to friends!

July 2015 - Villa Bice was fantastic... Loads of room and huge views.

The whole place is charming... Not modern but very very comfortable. Wifi worked well and the air conditioning was also very welcome. The pool was voted one of the best we have had by the kid, and we spent time in and out of the sea too.

I do suffer from a bad back and initially the beds were a bit uncomfortable but I got used to them.

Over all a great holiday place, superbly situated for the Amalfi Coast. Better value for more than 4 people but we had a well deserved break.

We will go back at some stage.

June 2015 - Our family of 5 spent a spectacular week at Villa Bice.

Everything was perfect -- the house was nicely appointed, the bedrooms were large and the beds were comfortable, the pool by the sea was wonderful, and the views from the terraces are unbelievable.

We couldn't have asked for a better spot to explore the Amalfi Coast! We hope to return.

August 2012 - We really loved villa Bice and it's outstanding location, the view, access to the sea, multi terraces and pool in the cliff side are truly wonderful.

The house is very spacious and the linen provided is beautiful. The trees around the house provide welcome shade in the hot summer.

A great website and good communication via email etc. I would definitely use Summer in Italy again should we return to Italy. Thanks for your friendly service, and I will recommend you to friends.

August 2008 - This is a very high quality property which provides excellent privacy, comfort and convenience.

The fact that the entrance to this property is directly adjacent to the main bus stop on the Amalfi-Positano road and to a small garage is a bonus: access to nearby towns does not involve any walking along roads to reach the nearest bus stop.

While we relied on buses wherever possible, we did also use our car (the single carport space provides secure off-road parking) for sightseeing and for major grocery shopping.

The owners and caretaking staff are very hospitable and helpful.

Typical of all properties on the Amalfi coast, there are numerous steps throughout the property: in this case there are many terraced levels which make the climb from sea and pool to house quite manageable for those other than infants and elderly people.

My wife and I and our two friends found thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would happily recommend it as a central base for exploring the Amalfi coast.

We have had a really wonderful experience of dealing with all the SummerInItaly staff and will happily recommend this company and will use them again!

July 2003 - Thank you again for all the help you gave me and my family while we were in Amalfi, I felt like I had a friend next door! 

Villa Bice is a beautiful property, as comfortable as if one were at home. The setting is spectacular and you get plenty of exercise running up and down to the pool and the sea. We were very fortunate to be taken care of by Salvatore and his lovely wife.

The location is perfect to explore all the cities on the coast-and we did just that -- being central gave us plenty of flexibility. We had wonderful lunches and dinners at the villa and it was very close to the little shops to stock up on all the delicious vegetables and pasta. Big, spacious, relaxing and comfortable... You will see us again...
