View is absolutely spectacular!
June 2018 - View is absolutely spectacular! The apartment is very comfortable with all needed amenities and nicely decorated. There is a nice patio in the back of the apartment also, but we could not pull ourselves away from the view from the terrace. Truly a nice home away from home. Embrace and enjoy!
Lucio [the caretaker] could not have been kinder. Upon arrival, we got in later, did not have time to shop for food, and had no vehicle. Being halfway between Sorrento and Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi, he kindly arranged reservations for a dinner in Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi at the most fabulous restaurant... Restaurant Lo Stuzzichino. A MUST do. He also helped set up a full day boat trip to Capri -- another must do! Swimming in the Mediterranean around Capri is truly an experience. Lucio is welcoming and very kind with advice and making you feel welcome. Lucio - your place is wonderful! Thank you so much! We loved our stay and you made it even more special with your advice. Thank you!
Summer In Italy was very good. I appreciated how you got back to me very quickly when I had questions. We also appreciated all the information about the place we were staying and addressing in your information possible language barriers and all other information. That turned out to be VERY helpful.
Travel tips
- If you do not have a car, make sure to understand the bus system and timing of it. The bus stops right at the end of the driveway, so very convenient... Just make sure to get bus tickets in Sorrento so you have them when you need to take the bus back down. As an alternative, we walked down 3 times, and loved it! Takes about 30 minutes, but completely enjoyable! Did not tackle walking up!
- Hotel Nido, across the street, is a great place to have dinner and sit out on the balcony. Enjoy the view!
- We planned on going to Capri for one day, but enjoyed it so much, we went back the second. Do the hike up to Villa Jovis - well worth the time and a nice walk! Also walk to the Natural Arch but stop at the Ristorante La Grottelle which in on the path on the way there. A bit pricey but well worth the stop. Amazing view, great food (especially the homemade noodles in the ravioli), and don't leave without trying the lemon ice!
- Pompeii is great to see, but Herculaneum is amazing also. Don't miss it.

The location was perfect!
May 2018 - The location was perfect! We loved Villa Astaria B as our vacation spot. The apartment was spacious and our favorite part of was the terrace. The terrace had views of the water. A great place for sunrises and sunsets!
The local host was very helpful. Great suggestions, answering questions.
Summer In Italy was great to work with. Very helpful. Great communication as we were planning and while traveling. Would definitely use the company again. Very responsive and helpful! We will be back! Five star service and accommodations!
Travel tips
- We used Tour of Italy as a car service for transportation from Naples and for a day trip to the Amalfi Coast. They were great to work with.
- A boat trip to Capri island is a definite must do! As trio to the coastal towns.
