Very good
October 2015 - We enjoyed Casa Pastello very much although the steps leading up to it were a little challenging. The apartment is bright and modern, clean and airy with a lovely sea view from the two french doors. The kitchen is equipped with everything you would need for self catering including a dishwasher.
Raffaella [the caretaker], who met us with the keys was very helpful and friendly.
I was very pleased with the broad range of accommodation that Summer In Italy offered and the friendly and attentive service I received after booking.
Travel tips
- Travelling by bus and ferry is inexpensive and the scenery awesome.
- The ferry and bus station are only a few minutes walk from Casa Pastello as are restaurants, shops and the beach.

August 2015 - Casa Pastello is a beautiful house with a splendid view.
Comfortable and located in the centre of Amalfi, it is a charming house in a very quiet location.
The right house for a great holiday!

June 2015 - Excellent location and great view. Casa Pastello had everything we needed.
Our host was very kind and helpful. Keep doing what you are doing.
We had a great stay. Thanks
Travel tips
- There are 66 steps and no lift. However on a positive note it keeps you fit and the view is worth it.
- Cafe in the square is great.
- Slam through the tunnel to Atrani for a quieter and cheaper dinner.

Fantastic
August 2014 - I would move to Casa Pastello if I could!!! Views were outstanding!!!!
Quite a few stairs to climb, which we loved because it helped burn off all the incredible food we ate.
Our hostess Raffaella was extremely accommodating and friendly, she did such a nice job of making us feel welcome. Thank you for making your property available to us, we had a perfect trip with our daughters and will never forget it. We hope to return soon.
I was so pleasantly surprised at how accommodating you all are at Summer In Italy. Everything was simple and I felt so comfortable making arrangements with you, as if you were an old friend. We LOVED the newsletters and needed the information and advice. Thank you so much, we hope to use your company again in the future.
Travel tips
- The town of Amalfi was so picturesque, the people were gracious, shopping a blast, food to die for.
- Positano and Ravello were wonderful side trips, easily reached by bus, with fabulous restaurants.
- Wine and Drugs in Ravello had an outstanding wine tasting.
- We took a boat to Duoglio Beach for great snorkeling.

August 2013 - Great location. Above average amenities. We enjoyed the stay very much, and would definitely go back there. We highly recommend Casa Pastello.
Travel tips
- There are exactly 69 steps to get to the apartment, but well worth the location. We thought of it as a great form of exercise!
- Very close to shops, restaurants. Access to the beach is within one minute walk.
- Great hiking trails are within walking distance with stunning views from town above Amalfi (Pogerola -- think 1000+ steps!).

Fantastic
July 2012 - The location is excellent with a gorgeous view of the ocean and the main strip but far enough away to be relatively peaceful. If you can manage the steps, Casa Pastello is a lovely rental with a 2-minute walk to the beaches.
Travel tips
- Restaurants in the area offered a wide selection of food and ranged from pizza to steak.
- Our day trip to Pompeii was an educational and touching day for us.
- The day trip on the ferry to Capri is also a great excursion and there are public beaches on Capri to stop for a swim.

Fantastic
June 2012 - We will definitely be looking to book Casa Pastello again.
Be aware that unless you are of above average fitness you will need to hire a porter to get your luggage up the narrow flights of steps! They become too narrow to carry your suitcase in a normal manner.
The location is fantastic and the quality of the interior is really good with everything working including washing machine, dishwasher and the much needed air con. The bedrooms sloping ceilings are extreme, you can only stand up in the middle line as it is a converted loft, not a killer though at the price and location/quality but you will bang your head!
Owner speaks English well, is helpful and easy to contact. TV is woeful for Brits as it is Italian only and we couldn't seem to get reception much of the time. Who needs TV somewhere as stunning as this???!
Travel tips
- Hire a porter to carry your cases!
- If you must have TV bring a Laptop loaded with movies at least until the 3G improves.
- Visit the Restaurant Villa Maria at Ravello (go by pricey taxi or walk up from Atrani as the buses are rammed) and visit the Villa Cimbrone which is a giant photo opportunity with a lovely tea garden.
- Top food at Donna Stella garden Pizzeria in Amalfi and the nearby Dolceria Dell'Antico Portico for coffee and cakes of a heavenly standard.

September 2011 - Casa Pastello was excellent, very well equipped, lovely views, spotlessly clean, the only negative would be the number of steps to get to the apartment and you made us aware of these in the information you provided and in Amalfi if you want a good sea view you must expect to have to clime up some steps!
So overall we thought the apartment was excellent and will use it again if we go back to Amalfi.
Travel tips
- I would recommend Amalfi Cars who transferred us to and from the airport.

July 2011 - I liked very much Casa Pastello, has an excellent location into the heart of the city, very close to beach and a wonderful view.
The owner and the contact person are excellent, warm people who know how to treat their guests and make your stay comfortable.
The living has a very nice ambiance given by the colours selected and the interior design.
It is absolutely enough if you want to have a pleasant vacation in Amalfi.
Summer In Italy are professional and I feel very comfortable to use again your services and recommendations. It was the first time we used your services but sure will do it again. Thanks a lot!
Travel tips
- Book and enjoy the house and the place!
- Pay attention to the number of stairs you need to climb (3rd floor) especially if you have health problems (heart, feet, legs, etc).
- All area is great, would have loved to stay longer but sure I'll go back one day... rather soon :-)
- Try the restaurant La Baracca, downtown city vis-a-vis of the Duomo... delicious local food!!

July 2011 - The view is wonderful out over the bay and the square below. The apartment is several flights of stairs up but it is worth the climb. Everything in the apartment is bright and clean.
The owner was a wonderful host, friendly, and helpful. The kitchen was well stocked.
We loved your introductory letter with advice for staying in Italy. Everything was well organized and straightforward - thank you!
Travel tips
- You need to be willing to climb stairs.
- We enjoyed cooking out own meals and bought food at the local supermarket tucked back off the main street.
- We hiked up to the nearby towns which are connected by paths and stairs. Then rewarded ourselves with gelato and local pastries.

April 2011 - Lovely apartment.. very bright and cheerful. Perfect location, a two minutes walk from the Duomo of Amalfi.
The living area was bright and cheerful, and the kitchen was amazing.
The owner was very flexible with out check-in and check-out times, which was very nice.
We had a lovely stay.
Unfortunately, Casa Pastello can not be booked at this time.
We would love to help you find a suitable alternative. Please be in touch for personal advice from our staff!
