Great stay

July 2025 - My family really enjoyed staying at Appartamento Attilia A. The apartment is only a 10 minute walk from the ferry dock. The caretaker, Romano, was great with communicating directions and information over WhatsApp ahead of our stay, and was generous with his time to provide recommendations to local restaurants and other businesses when we met him during our stay.

The bedroom was spacious and had a lovely balcony with a picturesque view of the Amalfi port. We made good use of the drying rack that fit nicely on the balcony and with the breeze and sun would dry our clothes within just a few hours! Our two teenagers slept on convertible sofa beds in the living room, and while my son was a bit tall for his they were adequate for the stay.

The host very graciously made necessary paper products and linens available, and the instructions about how to operate the air conditioner and the schedule for trash pickup was well explained. The apartment was centrally located overlooking the Amalfi beaches and just steps from the cathedral and main shopping street, while also near the pedestrian tunnel to Atrani.

The only downside to the central location was some latenight drivers zooming around the curves below the apartment and gunning their engines, but this is a typical side effect of staying in touristy places in the high season!

I was glad to find a recommendation to Summer in Italy. After several friends had other rental accommodations fall through during Europe trips, I knew I wanted to rent through a company where I could have advance communication with the staff and have recourse to a real person if anything went wrong. Summer In Italy were absolutely perfect with communication, and each of the three hosts at the three apartments were also impeccable. The information about each apartment that was provided proved to be everything we needed, and we did not need to reach out for assistance during our trip, but the knowledge that we could helped us feel secure. I would absolutely use Summer in Italy for any future travel and will recommend their services to my network of friends and colleagues.

Beautiful apartment with stunning views

May 2025 - This apartment is beautiful. The balcony overlooks the entire harbor. We spent hours just sitting on the balcony watching the boats come and go and the crazy traffic while sipping prosecco.

There is a pretty tough walk up to the apartment from the street so if you have large luggage this will be an ultimate warrior challenge for you. We loved this apartment. The steps are not a big deal for me. Everything on the Amalfi coast is uphill or steps. The view is worth it. You will not regret this reservation.

Very well situated apartment with a truly spectacular view of Amalfi

September 2022 - A very well situated apartment with all the essentials and a truly spectacular view of Amalfi. Watching the sunset was beautiful. Only 70 steps to the apartment from sea level. Very close to town. The double glazed windows do surprisingly well and keeping out the street noise (and disappointingly also the waves crashing on the beach).

The owners and managers and very attentive and supportive of a great stay and experience on the Amalfi Coast.

Great value for money, we would definitely stay here again.

August 2022 - The location and the views can’t be beat at this property! We spent many evenings looking out at the town/beaches. The accommodations are modest, but have the practical items you may need. There are stairs, as most places in Amalfi.

Host was responsive when we had questions.

Panoramic views of the town and harbor

October 2019 - This is an excellent apartment located right on the eastern end of Amalfi beach. It gives you panoramic views of the town and harbor.

The unit is nicely appointed with kitchen, washing machine, Wi-Fi etc. The balcony, although quite narrow, is an awesome place to people watch, watch the sun go down, and enjoy a limoncello.

We felt that the accommodation was excellent and just what we needed.

June 2019 - This location is outstanding! Close to everything and a great point to visit all of the Amalfi Coast.

The apartment is spacious, great A/C, views, good Wi-Fi and comfortable bed. Don’t worry about the stairs, you get used to it. Some street noise but you can also hear the waves on the beach and you can watch all the action from your balcony. We had an amazing time!

October 2018 - Great location and views. Facilities were very clean and comfortable. Short walk from ferry and bus stops. Requires walk up quite a few steps however worth it for the view.

The host met us and accompanied us to the apartment.

September 2018 - We loved our stay at Appartamento Attilia A, the view was so wonderful we ate on our terrace most nights. Not too many steps and the air conditioning were big plusses. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet at night.

Summer In Italy were very friendly, responsive and easy to deal with. I wouldn't change anything.

May 2018 - Although the 70 stairs it was worth it for such a good location and view. We really enjoyed watching the beach directly below and the boats coming and going while having breakfast or sipping wine in the evening out on the balcony. The doors and shutters have great sound proofing qualities so despite the apartment being just above the main road noise could be controlled at night time and the view was absolutely fabulous by day with the doors open.

We found Summer In Italy very professional with reliable communication leading up to our stay.

May 2018 - Appartamento Attilia A is in a perfect location overlooking the beach in Amalfi. The view from the balcony is just amazing! The apartment is nicely equipped, with a very comfortable bed and a large living/dining area. We had a minor problem during our stay, but it was very quickly addressed by the owner with minimal inconvenience to us. There is sometimes road noise from the busy street below, but it calms down at night and was never bothersome. The balcony windows are well insulated for sound, and the air conditioning works very well. We love this apartment!

July 2017 - Great Apartment. Stayed for a second visit and everything was as we remembered it from 4 years ago. The owner takes pride in maintaining this apartment to a high standard.

This was the second time we booked through Summer In Italy and appreciated the personal emails to finalise and confirm bookings, variations etc. It was reassuring to know that there was someone taking an interest and that the booking was not just a number on a form. Your replies were always prompt. Thank you.

May 2017 - We enjoyed the apartment, which is in excellent condition. The furnishings and decorations are adequate, although haphazard in the way of many vacation apartments. The apartment is bright, and gives a feeling of immediacy in facing the sea and Amalfi from both the living room and bedroom.

The owner is very helpful, and really cares about her apartment.

We found that climbing the stairs was not a problem.

June 2016 - We LOVED our time in Appartamento Attilia A. The location was perfect, the view amazing, the amenities clean and modern.

The only small drawback was that it was overlooking a busy road so it wasn't the quietest location. But we soon got used to it and settled in perfectly.

I loved how efficient and responsive the Summer In Italy team was. They made me feel very confident that the entire vacation would be a success.

July 2014 - Certainly enjoyed it, location is absolutely perfect, some traffic noise from the main road though, but no neighbour noise, and view is absolutely un-beatable, and its only a 2 min walk to center of town.

The apartment itself is absolutely fine, clean and neat. Kitchen also all right, only minus, very little kitchen table.

July 2014 - We really enjoyed our stay at Appartamento Attilia. We know Amalfi very well having been visiting for 15 years: this is the first time in an appartment, and would do it again some time. Peace and quite was average, but if you know Amalfi you know it is not quiet.

Mrs Rosa [the owner] was very helpful, even though we had been delayed some hours and were late arriving.

They apartment was perfect in every way and I simply can't fault it. Well recommended.

September 2008 - Appartamento Attilia is situated with an outstanding view and is exceptionally clean, well looked after.

It is at a primary intersection of the town of Amalfi and so you'll find quite a bit of traffic below with noise commensurate. However, the blinds and doors are well insulated, blocking a majority of the sound at night. While it would be nice to perhaps sleep with the doors open in order to hear the sea, the lights and view at night, unless you are a particularly hard sleeper, it would not be possible in light of the traffic noise. Again, with the doors closed, not a problem. And during the daytime or early evening with a glass of wine, it can be quite entertaining to watch the scooters, cars and buses negotiate for road space.

I think the only complaint we could come up with is that we'd wished the deck was only 30 cm wider. It is adequate, to be sure, but that extra width would just make it more comfortable. I would not let this element stop anyone from choosing to stay at this place. In fact, we yearn to be back there daily.
