Trail of the Centenarian Trees

Take a walk in the hills along the Trail of the Hundred Year-Old Trees. The pleasant path starts at the Church of the Maddalena in Ogliastro Cilento. Look for the signs that indicate the "sentiero dell'albero centenario". It winds through the old lanes of the historic center then heads out into the countryside of the Cilento hills. The four-kilometer trail follows an old mule track, once the only way to reach Prignano Cilento from here. It goes along this historic roadway through the woods, over little bridges, and through tiny hamlets to reach Prignano Cilento and Melito.

The Sentiero dell'Albero Centenario is an fairly easy 4-kilometer walk with good views and shady spots in the trees.
