Torre San Giovanni of Ugento is known for its white sandy beaches and turquoise sea. You'll find many beach establishments where you can rent umbrellas and sun loungers for the day (or the week), some offer water sports and activities while others maintain a quieter tone. There are plenty of free beaches where you can just lay out towel or blanket at no cost, too! Going north from town you'll find rocks and reefs interspersed with sandy tracts, part of a marine nature preserve, undeveloped with less crowds.

The Parco Naturale Regionale is made of reefs and dunes, right off the Corso Annibale going north of the village. The plant and animal species here are protected and it is a world away from the rows of umbrellas and beach discos. One of the few clubs is Isola Pazze, where you can rent umbrellas and chairs, and take advantage of their beach bar and restaurant. Go north on Corso Annibale which skirts the coast.

South of the town you'll find Lido Sabbioso, the "sandy beach" - part of it is free access along with lots of clubs that offer services that include showers, restaurants, water games, kite surfing, beach volleyball, pedal boats and kayaks, and more. There are plenty of them to choose from!
