The Riserva di Torre Guaceto is a protected marine area, but probably one of the most active nature reserves you'll find. You'll find long stretches of undeveloped sandy beaches, clean warm water, and a natural environment instead of discos and cement block apartments. The Riserva operates the Acquademia, a diving center, along with bike rentals, hiking excursions, and "trenino" tours. They host astronomical evenings and some theatrical productions. You can snorkel or enjoy the flora and fauna on the park. The centerpiece of this beach is the Aragonese tower built in 1563 standing at the sea's edge.
