The Meina Museum

If the kids get bored of the villas and gardens around Lake Maggiore, then a museum at Villa Faraggiana is the anecdote.Set in the 'chalet' of historic Villa Faraggiana, this museum goes beyond the usual realm and takes kids inside a multimedia 4D world of nature in all its forms.

The museum is a high tech virtual journey of holograms, labyrinths, and light and sound effects of nature as it is, and how it has been perceived through the centuries. Outside, there is an interactive park with cultural and interpretive signs along with interactive smartphone apps that include a treasure hunt! This is no ordinary "kids" museum!

The Meina Museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 10:30 AM til 12:30 PM; and Saturday and Sunday from 3:00 PM til 6:00 PM. There is an admission fee. Visit their website for more details.
