Lake Como is fantatically beautiful, but there aren't that many beaches for easily enjoying the fresh, cool water in Bellagio. But San Giovannia beach is one of the exceptions. Located just 1.5 kilomters south of Bellagio, it's where the Perlo stream runs into the lake. You'll find an ample beach made of up pebbles spanning both sides of the stream, and a pretty bridge over it (though you can just wade over, too). The beach is free. There is a seasonal snack bar that offers floating docks and piers for swimming, tables under the trees where you can enjoy lunch, snacks and drinks.

To reach it, go along SP 583 to the district called Localita' Fiume. Turn at the sign indicating "River Side Spiaggia Libera". Park and walk down the path to the lakefront.
