Ristorante Oscari

Ristorante Oscari is a family-run restaurant that has been in business for more than 30 years. Located inside the defensive walls of Monte Santa Maria Tiberina, this fantastic eatery is in a stone building that gives the place an air of romance and rustic charm. In the summer a few tables are placed on the street for al fresco dining under the stars.

Adding to the allure is the mother-daughter team in the kitchen that makes everything by hand, from the pastas to the desserts. Specialties utilize the local produce like porcini mushroom, forest truffles, and locally-made sausage. Some of the dishes to try include Chiche al tartufo - pouches of pasta filled with meat and truffles and served in a cream sauce, or homemade noodles with a tomato-mushroom-sausage sauce. Desserts are made in house and worth saving room for!
