Right on the water at the Cala di Porto Bianco in Monopoli, this restaurant has been serving excellent seafood since 1947. The specialties of Puglia are flavorful and done well, without pretension but with care.

You can choose the classic favorites on the Traditional Menu, or from the original creations of the day on the Chef's Specials menu. The place is famous for scorfano soup (rockfish) and sea urchins when they're in season, but don't overlook the grilled jumbo shrimp. There is also grilled meat and vegetable-based pasta plates for those who don't want seafood. Homemade desserts finish off the meal on a sweet note.
