Museo di Blanda Tortora

This gem of a museum in the centro storico of Tortora highlights the area's very long history and its archeological finds. Housed in the Palazzo Casapesenna, there are five halls displaying the artifacts from the archeological area here at Tortora. They testify of prehistoric presence, and all the epochs of the ancient city of Blanda Julia. The archeological area has ongoing excavations, and is interesting to visit.
The Museo di Blanda is open from 9:00 AM til 1:00 PM and from 5:00 PM til 9:00 PM weekdays; it is open from 9:00 AM til 1:00 PM and from 6:00 PM til 10:00 PM on weekends. Admission is FREE.
