La Plaja Beach

To the east of Castellammare del Golfo's city center, a long length of golden sand offers easy access to the sea. Along Via Plaja, it is sometimes spelled La Playa beach, but either way it is a kilometer of soft sand, with beach concessions (called lidos) and pieces of free beach, too.

The lidos rent umbrellas and sun beds, offer changing cabins, showers, restrooms, and food and drinks, at a cost. The free beaches mean you bring your own blanket, towels and umbrella, though you can use the lido's services for meals, beverages, and showers.
