La Loconda del Postiglione

In the heart of Spello right outside the ancient gate, the Locanda is a warm and welcoming place with a delicious menu. A postiglione was a post, a stop-over along the road to change horses, rest, eat and maybe sleep during a long journey. Today, it still offers that kind of hospitality that makes you relax and enjoy.

This place is classic - with classic, classy ambiance of exposed stone and barrel vault ceiling; and a classic Umbrian menu that includes the area's abundant truffles, porcini mushrooms, grilled meats and hearty pastas. The chef gives some creative touches to the time-honored recipes.
