Guicciardini Strozzi Winery

A winery and villa with a lot of history, the land holding dates to 994, with wine making going on here since the about a millenium. The Renaissance villa and gardens are spectacular, with gorgeous views and setting amidst the rows of vines facing San Gimignano.

The Guicciardini Strozzi family garnered a lot of praise for the local Vernaccia wine, from illustrious men that included Lorenzo il Magnifico (Medici), Michelangelo, and Dante.
