Eataly is like a food-lover's amusement park, with theme areas dedicated to the mercato, restaurants and a wine bar. It's a shopping mall for gourmands! The market has products from around the region and around Italy, to highlight Italy's artisanal products and provide a marketplace for small producers. The restaurant serves authentic fare with organically grown produce and traditional products. There is a coffee bar to rev up your shopping engines, and a wine bar to sip and enjoy the excellent vintages from around the peninsula, while relaxing your feet and enjoying nibbles. They also serve craft beers from Italy.

Eataly is part of a greater movement to retain the regional food traditions so inherent in Italy, linked to the Slow Food movement. It's only fitting that there is one in Bologna, the country's culinary capital. Eataly Bologna is located right in the heart of the centro storico, just a few steps from the Two Towers and Piazza Maggiore. It's located in the ancient district that was once a Roman marketplace.
