Duca della Corgna Trasimeno Winery

At the outskirts of the pretty town of Castiglione del Lago, there is a winery that highlights the area's grapes and helps sustain small growers, too. The Duca della Corgna is also known as Cantina del Trasimeno, a cooperative of 200 growers with vines across 300 hectares ( acres). The expert winemakers in the cantina take the grapes and produce good vintages, using the Sangiovese, Grechetto, Trebbiano Toscano, and Trasimeno Gamay varietals. Stop in for a tasting and buy some of the vintages (they're affordable as well as tasty!).

It is located just outside town, near the Conad grocery store.
