Butcher Shop Restaurant da Gino

A peculiar but fun Puglia tradition is the butcher shop that becomes a restaurant at night (for meat eaters, at least; vegetarians will want to go elsewhere). You choose the cuts of meat you want, and they grill it for you on a wood fire, with side dishes to go along with it. And of course local wine to wash it down! In Carovigno, one such place is Macelleria da Gino, a butcher shop and "braceria" (grill). Give it a try! It's a regional thing!
