A full-on festival pays homage to the black truffle in this annual food feast. Held at the end of February, it's a winter rite that praises the excellence of the product that is important in this part of Umbria. For three days, there are food stands that serve truffles in all its possible forms and concoctions, along with a mountain of sausages produced by the famed Norcia butchers, and giant wheels of delectable cheese, all washed down with hearty Umbrian red wine. There are also art exhibits, music, and shows to be enjoyed between the culinary experiences.
