Barberino Outlet

If shopping is your sport, then head to Barberino Outlet Village, a short distance north of Florence. The outlet mall has more than 100 shops, from boutiques to international chains. There are cafes, gelato, and a restaurant in the village, and events are organized throughout the year for entertainment. The outlet has designer labels and good deals.

The Barberino Outlet Village is Florence's primary outlet mall. It is easily reached off the A-1 autostrada right at the exit for Barberino di Mugello. If you want to make a day of it, plan to visit the nearby lovely Lago di Bilancino for a bit of nature and relaxing after your shopping excursion. The mall has a bus from the center of Florence, if you don't want to drive. It has two daily departures and returns from Santa Maria Novella train station.
