Wonderful stay at Villa Volpina

April 2026 - We loved our stay at Villa Volpina and highly recommend the villa to other guests. The house was very comfortable, clean, and beautifully decorated in the Tuscan style, with ample space for large groups, large and comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. It is well located within easy walking distance of the quaint village of Volpaia with several restaurants and the winery, and a short drive to other Chianti towns.

The views from the pool area of the surrounding hills and towns were stunning.

The local caretaker and manager were extremely helpful and responsive to our needs, and made us feel warm and welcome guests of the property and the town.

While we originally booked the villa through VRBO, we were very pleased with our experience with Summer in Italy. Luca and others were quick to respond to requests, well organized and supportive throughout the process. If we travel to Italy again I would definitely check out properties on Summer in Italy!

Luxury and charm in Volpaia

August 2024 - Just enough luxury mixed with traditional charm. This place far exceeded our expectations. The private location alongside the charming village of Volpaia was spectacular.

A wonderful immersion into the Tuscan region of Chianti and beyond. Gorgeous!! Indescribable. Access to several historic towns within 30 minutes. Breathtaking drives!

We were immediately made comfortable through the expert, endearing, and warm service of Donika [the caretaker] who was readily available to provide help. She was amazing! (And, such a good cook!)

The home is perfect. We were a group from age 75 down to ages three and one, and everyone was equally comfortable, and astonished by the natural beauty and historic surroundings. I especially appreciated that the bathrooms were so beautifully updated, modern, luxurious feel, yet, still felt that old world charm, and one even had a deep soak bath! An added treat.

Homemade meals al fresco dining long into the warm summer evenings.

It was hot the beginning of August, but the fans and the evening breezes cooled the house enough for sleeping. A welcomed warmth and natural coolness away from air conditioning. And the pool with its spectacular views! Night swimming, day swimming, added extra relaxation and comfort. Just a lovely experience. This place was suitable for all ages.

If you rent here, prepare to be amazed! Be careful that you don't go for a run in the Tuscan hills and get lost in a vineyard! So many vineyards all around!
