We felt like we had arrived in heaven

September 2016 - Villa Veronica was beautiful. We felt like we had arrived in heaven. The villa was equipped with everything you could dream of ever needing. The outdoor pool and entertaining area were gorgeous and we spent much time here in the afternoon and evening.

The owner Loredana and manager Giovanna were so friendly and welcoming, even picking our party of 6 up from the train station. They went above what was required.

We had used Summer In Italy previously and we will use them again. They are very helpful and all villas we have stayed in have been as advertised.

Travel tips

  • The only problem we had was that the hire car company closes at 12noon on Saturday and is not open again until Monday. As we arrived after this time on Saturday by train we had difficulty finding alternate transport from Lucca to the villa. The manager very kindly offered to pick us up from the train station but due to limited buses near the villa we were then isolated at the villa until Monday when thankfully she gave us a lift back into town to collect our hire cars.
  • Both manager and owner were accomodating and helped us as much as they could.

September 2015 - Everything was perfect!

The view, pool and garden were amazing. The wellness room was a nice addition and the interior rooms were very comfortable. We enjoyed shopping at the local supermarket and cooking on the outdoor wood burning oven.

We have stayed at several other villas in the past and loved Villa Veronica the best. We could not have asked for a better vacation and would stay at this villa again in a heart beat.

Thanks to the friendly owner, Loredana, for a warm welcome and home baked goods.

Travel tips

  • Be sure to visit the local wineries as they are very special, and make an appointment for a tour if you can.

May 2015 - We loved Villa Veronica, our home away from home and would highly recommend.

We were a party of seven adults and the property accommodated us easily!

We were greeted by our hosts who were delightful and helpful as to the local amenities... Also they came bearing gifts of homemade apple pies and bottles of wine!

Would return tomorrow!!

Our booking was seamless... We were met on time and our hosts were wonderfully accommodating.

Travel tips

  • A visit to Vinci and Lucca would be on our must do lists!
  • The Esselunga (supermarket) is a ten minute drive and is superbly stocked!

May 2014 - It was more better than we ever could imagine. So we sincerely enjoyed ourselves.

Don't have doubts, book this very nice property as soon as possible!

We already had a super stay near Naples via "Summer in Italy". Make yourself well known, especially in the Netherlands.

Travel tips

  • There are brilliant supermarkets in the neighborhood.
  • Lucca is a very nice place to visit. Atina, my wife, called it Venice without water, very romantic!

June 2012 - Villa Veronica was charming and comfortable.

The owner and manager were lovely ladies who were there to help yet unobtrusive.

The garden is spectacular and the views are breathtaking. Loved the church chimes every half hour. Air quality was perfect and cool evenings even if the days were hot. The whole area is gorgeous.

A lot of love and care has gone into the creation of beautiful Villa Veronica.

This trip was for me a dream come true !

Continue to support beautiful villas and lovely people and you will do well. Wish everyone connected with Summer in Italy all the best.

Travel tips

  • Get a GPS or a detailed map so you don't get lost too much!
  • Esselunga supermarket in Marlia - excellent.
  • Beautiful villas to visit in area - e.g. Torrigiani and Reale (garden).
  • Pescia flower market
  • Montecatini Terme and Alto, Viareggio, Cinque Terre - the whole coast line is spectacular.
  • Must spend a day in Florence and the jewel nearby is Lucca.

Unfortunately, Villa Veronica can not be booked at this time.
