July 2011 - Fantastic villa -- one of the best I have stayed in. We were a family of 9 across 3 generations (the lift was helpful for our 76yr old Grandmother who has walking difficulties) and all of us loved it equally.

Villa Vanitosa is definitely a very special place and when you enter it you are welcomed into a beautiful taste of Italy. Everything was perfect and the locals in the restaurant, the caretaker etc all went out of their way to help us plan the most from our short 5 days there.

My only regret is that we didn't have more time to spend relaxing around the Villa and its beautiful terraces and rooms. Hopefully we will be able to return.

Great service from Summer Italy and all the information and directions were great. Will use Summer in Italy again.

Travel tips

  • We loved our day trips to Amalfi, Positano, Pompeii.
  • Giovanna and Francesco [the caretakers] organised a great secluded beach trip and a private boat to Capri.
