I would recommend it!

November 2016 - I very much enjoyed the view from Villa Petrissa. Very inspiring to walk out and see the bay area. The location was good - and I would recommend it!

  • Tips is to walk down to the sea and swim in the natural pool there. So magic!

It was perfect for us

September 2016 - We had a brilliant time staying at Villa Petrissa. The villa was superb and exactly as described. The furnishings were very comfortable, and the views of the sea and the island of Ischia were stunning, particularly at sunset. The location of the villa is ideal, just outside Sorrento, very near public transport, a shop, bar and restaurant, and great to visit Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius, and further afield to Naples, Amalfi and Positano etc. I would certainly recommend Villa Petrissa, it was perfect.

Ms Serena [the caretaker] was very friendly and accommodating.

I would recommend Summer In Italy. Everyone I dealt with was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I booked with Summer In Italy because of the range of villas available and because I thought them good value. Villa Petrissa was perfect for us.

Travel tips

  • Do take the opportunity to visit Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius, and a boat trip to Capri or along the Sorrento and Amalfi coast is recommended.
  • There is also a great natural pool just down the road by the old Roman villa that is very pleasant to swim in.
  • The shop at the top of the road sells just about everything you need.

June 2016 - We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at Villa Petrissa. The property was as described, well maintained and equipped.

Summer In Italy provided excellent service and information. This was the first time we have used them and would certainly use them again in the future.

Travel tips

  • The villa is a bit out of Sorrento and a car might be useful to get into town and explore the area but there is also a convenient bus a short walk away.

Really enjoyed our stay

June 2016 - We absolutely loved Villa Petrissa. Location was great, views fantastic and we really enjoyed our stay there, thank you very much. It is a beautiful home, well equipped kitchen, lovely gardens and pool. Photos do not do justice to the house, especially the road leading to the property and the lovely terrace in the main bedroom with a wonderful view.

Thank you for all your help, Summer In Italy has been so responsive and assisted with all our requests. All the contact was prompt and efficient - I was very impressed.

Travel tips

  • Restaurant Kalimera was a great find, just up the road from the villa. The lovely Louisa spoke fantastic English, her parents are wonderful cooks. Good value food and a glass of wine and olives whilst waiting for takeaway pizza was so friendly and hospitable.
  • Nearby shop was almost as reasonable as larger supermarket and deserves your custom.

October 2015 - Villa Petrissa was clean and nicely located to transportation. The kitchen was stocked with essentials. The outside area was nice.

Travel tips

  • Ask the owner information about the opening time of the beach and what paths walk to get there. We walked all the way there and the gate was locked, not to mention we got lost on the paths.

Unfortunately, Villa Petrissa can not be booked at this time.
