October 2010 - Villa Paolina A was gorgeous. It had beautiful views and it was very comfortable.
The only problem was the twin bunk beds. They were really uncomfortable. Keep in mind they were probably designed for kids and not adults.
Other than that this place is fantastic. I would definitely stay there again.
This site is great. The directions were great and contact with the owner was easy.
Travel tips
- By all means take the bus from Sant'Agata to Amalfi, Positano, and Sorrento. The buses are so convenient and better than driving and parking in Amalfi and Positano.

September 2010 - As other of the visitors has said, the pictures don't do Villa Paolina A justice. It's a fantastic villa with an outstanding view.
We would highly recommend the villa to other guests.

May 2010 - Pleasantly surprised. Much nicer than we expected. Beautiful terraces. Lovely renovated bathrooms. Definitely want to come back.
Loved the customer service. Everyone very helpful, professional and quick to respond to our questions. Will highly recommend to our friends to use Summer in Italy.
Travel tips
- Small compact cars make life much easier. Roads are narrower than most parts of Italy and parking at Villa Paolina is very tight too.

June 2009 - Our family have just returned from a perfect holiday at the lovely Villa Paolina, words cannot describe the view from the terrace!
The house was comfortable & modern with everything we needed and more and the owner Piero was very friendly and helpful (the pics on this site do not do the property justice).
Torca is a lovely quiet village, very peaceful and traditional with amazing sea views and Sant'Agata, a 20 mins walk away, is great for grocery shops & restaurants with friendly locals.... the more resorty and bustling town of Sorrento is 20-30 mins drive away.
Highly recommend this villa for anyone visiting the area - we can't wait to get back!
Thank you Summer in Italy :-) Thank you for your friendly, informative & reasonably priced service. We will highly recommend you to friends and family visiting Italy in future and we hope to book this villa through you again in the future :-) Grazie mille!!
Travel tips
- We went for lunch at Mary's Beach restaurant at Marina Del Cantone (approx 20 mins drive), trekked down Fiordo di Crapolla - the views make it all worth it!!, drove up the Amalfi Coast to Amalfi & Ravello, visited Pompeii & Herculaneum by train (we preferred Herculaneum for the quality of the excavations) & did a day trip over to Capri.
- Also used the pool at the nearby Sant'Agata hotel for a small fee. Highly recommend Lo Stuzzichino restaurant in Sant'Agata for a delicious and a very reasonable meal. You must visit Giovanni, the local nearby gelateria afterwards!
- We hired a small Fiat Punto Grande which was perfect for the small winding roads and took our sat nav but be careful when driving as those Italians are crazy drivers!

May 2009 - We really enjoyed our week at Villa Paolina. The views are fantastic. The outdoor terrace is wonderful, a great place to enjoy a meal or just relax.
The owner Mr. Piero was friendly and helpful. He gave us a bottle of olive oil pressed from olives grown in the olive grove on the property. He even helped set up an Internet connection.
Villa Paolina is an excellent home base for seeing the Sorrentine peninsula and the Campania Coast. It is a pleasant walk to the bus stop in Torca or Sant'Agata where you can take a bus to Sorrento, form there it's an easy ferry to Capri or a train to Pompeii, Vesuvius or Naples.
We definitely recommend Villa Paolina!
Travel tips
- Driving to Villa Paolina can be a bit challenging due to the narrow winding roads. Since we had lots of luggage we drove a station wagon which made driving an adventure. But since public transportation was so convenient and comfortable we left the station wagon in the driveway the whole week.
- The beaches were not easily accessible. You really need to study a map to find them [or ask the owner, who speaks English and will be happy to give you recommendations and directions]
- Walking and hiking is great here. We took a hike down to the gorgeous Fiordo di Crapolla. But it was a difficult hike. It is all down hill going, but the uphill trip back is really hard.
- The town of Sant'Agata is delightful with some nice shops and restaurants.
- We had a nice dinners at Vittorino's in Torca and Ristorante Da Mimi in Torca.

October 2008 - Villa Paolina is in a stunning location, situated in a quiet hamlet. Local facilities (shops and restaurants) are only a 15 minute walk from the villa. there are more basic facilities just a five minute walk from the villa
The villa is well presented and certainly exceeded the expectations of myself and my friends. We had seen the photographs of the villa on your website which looked fantastic. Being there was just amazing and actually surpassed the photographs.
We met the owners of the villa, who are charming. They were concerned to make sure our stay was enjoyable.
Overall, the stay at Villa Paolina was a fantastic experience. I would recommend it to anybody without hesitation
You know how I feel about Summer In Italy. You were all fantastic. The personal service is second to none.
You are aware that we had difficulties with our flight times and you handled our problems extremely well, even though we arrived at the villa after midnight!
I would not hesitate to recommend your company to family and friends.
Travel tips
- The roads around the villa are quite narrow and our 9-seater people carrier, was just about able to fit down them. I would recommend using a smaller vehicle, if possible.

September 2008 - We enjoyed Villa Paolina very much. The facilities were great.
It was a bit out of the way, especially as regards restaurants. The only one in Torca was open only on Saturday and Sunday and getting to and from Sant'Agata at night required a cab if you don't have a car. During the day the SITA bus only runs a few times from/to Torca.
A car is recommended if you are planning to go out for dinner in the evening during week days.
Summer In Italy did an excellent job facilitating our visit.
Travel tips
- Rent a car if you need to do any traveling. We were able to get around OK with the bus but you need to watch the schedules and work accordingly. We traveled by bus to Sorrento, Amalfi, Positano, Naples and the airport.

May 2008 - Villa Paolina is a fantastic rental in a very small town. Just what we were looking for.
Travel tips
- Without a car it might be better to stay in a larger town. Only a small car is recommended because of very narrow roads.

The amenities were fantastic in the home and our host was very helpful.
We would highly recommend it to our friends and family.
Thanks for making our stay in Italy a very pleasant one. We look forward to visiting again.
Your company is a pleasure to deal with. Keep up the good work.
